This big bruiser is finally coming around. Still deep opaque purple but getting a hint of deep ruby at the rim. Massive amounts of black Veeder fruits are wrapped around some cocoa, vanilla and brite bing cherries. The entry is big as is the center and finish. Still a solid core of subtle tannins to carry it another 3-6 before peaking. A very worthy successor to the wonderul 92 that's drinking so well at present.WW

A great wine, WW...if only I'd put away more.

gentlemen,

would you say a well-stored bottle of this wine is worth $40 to $50 today?

- winoweenie - 03-28-2004

I'd say the price is OK for the quality of this hummer. WW

thanks, WW. tried unsuccessfully to grab a couple bottles of this at $40 per via auction. a shop in tampa has it at $50. i might consider driving over to tampa to grab a bottle -- if they can swear to the provenance, of course.
