Medium ruby. Superb aromatics of plummy, spicy, berries(black-rasp,&blue), and classic Rurherford dust. All come over on the palate along with a modest taste of menthol for additional complexity. Most of the grapes are from Mondavis' famous To-Kalen vineyard. Solid entry, weighty center and a killer 4&1/2 lapper finish. This wine has continued to improve from the 5-year point on. Close to the top of its' game but still has some velvertyu tannins lurking that will carry it another 1-2. Beautifully done bottle. 91/93. 24 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW

Had this for lunch today. Still showing some improvement in the nose. Total enjoyment in the mouth. Not quite enough to kick up the pernts but, at the lofty numbers, no big deal. At, orvery near, to the top of its' game. WW

I do enjoy the Robert Mondavi Napa wines when they are properly aged. Sounds like a great example of the Rutherford terroir.
