- VouvrayHead - 07-31-2006 A small label from Boeger, this Cab comes from El Dorado in (Eastern?) California. Lately I've only been posting notes on wines that I think are pretty exceptional deals, and this is certainly in that category. One of the 2 or 3 best under $15 Cabs I've tasted... Big robust fruit and herbal notes are present... Dark cherry and berry flavors lead into dark spice and chocolate notes with soft enough but still sturdy tannins. I like it a lot now, but it's got enough acidity and tannin to continue to improve its already excellent balance. It was aged for 2 years before release and it's only $12.99 Worth looking around for. - Innkeeper - 08-01-2006 Sounds like a weeeener. - winoweenie - 08-01-2006 Located in the foothills leading to Reno.
