Found this dude hiding under some stuff so the cork was pulled last nite. One of the worst corks I've seen come out of my cellar. Wine had migrated 3/4ths the way up. Poured the 1st glass with some trepidation but after sticking my big nose in all fears were erased. Tho not as strong as I remembered it still had nice vibrant fruit, spicy notes, and a hint of violets. The taste was definately that of a solid bottle that was in decline. Think I had the last bottle of this abour 4 years ago and it was singing. Very enjoyable but on the downslope. 90/95 36 from St. Helena Wine Merchants in 94. 13.5% aalc. WW

WW,

I've got a few bottles V Sattui Cabs from the Morsoli vineyard that I've not yet tried. Anything specific about this vineyard that people want to make vineyard specific bottlings. Friends of mine are like this vineyard but I've not asked them why.

TIA

One of the top 5-10 older vineyards in Napa that have been supplying high quality grapes to wineries since the 70s'. You can bet your bippie that any-thin with the Morisoli vineyard lable is quality. WW
