At BRWs' and my Thurs lunch had these 2 lovlies. The Craig started with medium ruby with no bricking and a nose that can only be termed as " Killer ". Floral notes, violets and blue bells, gorgeous red fruits and sweet spicy notes of cinnamon and clove. All hit the palate running. Silky entry, weighty center and a 4+ lapper finish. This had to be one of the top meritages of the vintage. 94/95. 29 by the box. No mistaking where this Mondavi came from. The Rutherford dust literally leapt from the glass. Deeper ruby color with no bricking. Along with the dust was red and black fruits that framed more spicy notes. The entry was solid, a mid-weight center and again a solid 4 lapper finish. Much more masculine than the Craig but delightful on its' own. 92/93. Also 29 by the box. WW
