Had this for lunch yesterdsy. Beautifully structured. Deep ruby. Violets, red fruits, cassis, spices and pencil shavings hit the nose. All come on the palate plus a touch of the Rutherford Dust. Soft entry, solid center and a 4+ lapper finish. !-3 from peaking. Beautiful bottling. 92/93. 25 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW

Needed a break from my Pinot splurge so opened another of these yesterday. Nothing more to add. A killer bottle of juice. WW

I have one bottle of the 2001. Will probably open it in 2006 or 2007 since it has been stored at higher than cellar temperatures.

We sampled a bottle from our case of 99s late last fall. Something didn't quite taste right. Hoping it was simply too early. Will likely have another this November to check on things

Anyone else given that vintage a whirl, just yet?
