- winoweenie - 01-05-2006 Medium deep ruby. Nose of plums, black cherries, cinnamon, vanilla, and a tad od cigar box. This is one of the best cab vineyards in all of Napa and this wine from a very mediocre vintage underscores the fact. Lots going on and still has enough tannins to carry it another 3-6. Big entry, solid center and a 4+-lapper finish. 90. A gift so no idea of cost. 14% alc. For my tastes I think that the Preston eclipsed Morisoli in 2001 delivering more complexity compared to the huge Morisoli fruit. The Rutherford dust of the the Preston with a rare leg of lamb...forgeddaboudit!! |
