I was recently been given 4 half wood cases of the above wine from my sister as my retirement gift. She said it was a limited production run back in the 90s when it was released when a wine merchant introduced it to her late husband then. I cannot find any info or ratings on this wine at all. I'm also very concerned about the drinkability of this wine since it is 14 years old and how much life it has left on it if any. My sis says this wine was kept in her basement all this time. Your advice and comments please. Thanks.

Hi yww and welcome to the board. I missed your post until this morn so will try to give you some help. The CSs' I've had were all well-made wines with good balance. Don't recall the 95 but have drunk many Sebastianis' over the years with some long whiskers on them that were tasty as all git-out. Open one of them dudes and find out.... then post and let us all know. WW

WW, followed your advice and opened a bottle last nite. Sad to say the wine tasted "flat" and rated just fair. Believe it has passed its prime. It did have large amount of sediments though. In light of this, I really like to sell the rest of the unopened half cases ASAP. What's the best way to sell them? Thanks.

I wouldn't want to encourage you to sell wines that are already past their prime. Depending on how warm it got in the basement where they were stored, they could also be heat damaged.

Since I only opened just one half case to try that one bottle, I still have 3 unopened half cases. How likely is the rest of the wine in these other unopened cases to be "passed the prime"? According to my sis, these wines were kept in their wine cellar in the basement with a temp of around 60F along with her roughly 5,000 bottle collection. She says these wine as well as the rest of her collection have never been exposed to heat or excess light.
