Acquired a case of Woodcrest Cellars, Mendocino County, Cabernet Sauvignon, 1996 in early October. After letting it rest we tried one in early November. It was a little harsh, but positivly drinkable. Had the second bottle tonight (12/29/99) with some lamb chops. It was much better, but still tightly wound. Is anyone familiar with this one? When might it unwind?

Now it's as smooth as silk, with all kinds of lovely nuances. Perfectly balanced tannins without a trace of residual acid. Too bad, we can't find any other information on it.
