Opened this to complete the Montelena tasting.Still deep ruby, almost purple. Nose of cassis, and black fruits. Sweet spices and just a hint of oak are on the nose. The wine attacts the tongue with the same black fruits, high glycerin levels and the center palate kis weighty. Has the klegendary 5-lapper + finish. Still some silky tannins barely noticible. Killer Juice! 96/97. 40 by the box. 13.5% alc. WW (As promised Judy, I raised a toast to Mom)

Nice juice for a toast, WW. Thanks.

Stuff is way too expensive anymore -- you can get a couple of bottles of Pichon Baron for almost the same price.

Disagree completely with you on this Buck-Snort. Their futures program @ 50 to 60 bucks on futures gives a bottle that deserves its' lofty position in the Napa heirachy.WW

Opened this last nite to celebrate Monday and the fact I'd opened way too meeny Pinots. This is one kick-Patootie bottling that just keeps getting better. Knock everything up a snort on the tasting side. Classic juice. WW
