accurately scored. Had dinner Tues thru Fri nites with various friends so the emphasis was more of friends talk than winespeak. Tues nite a friend from Paris was my only partner. We opened a Newton Le Puzzle and a Beringer Private Reserve. Both were excellent. Wed nite was 2 close friends from San Diego and this was B.V. nite with the Tapestry and the GdeL Reserve starting the evening. Although we thot the Tapestry was a fine wine the Reserve blew it away. Finished off the meal with the Phelps Insignia which all agreed was about as good as it gets. Thurs was another friend from Washinton state and the wines of choice were Judds' Hill and Hess Collection. Again, both were fine drinking. Friday nite ended with 3 of my friends from Georhgia and 2 from San Diego. Started with the Raymond Generations. Next came the Voila Melange, Mondavi Unfiltered, Mt. Veeder Estate, Ferrari-Carano Tresor,Dehlinger Estate, and finished with the Heitz Trailside. A general opinion of all was the wines, conversation, company, food and service all deserved each other. Needless to say we had a DD. Put a long week to a very satisfying ending. WW
