Always one of the benchmark cabs(IMHO) from one of Napas' oldest and best vineyards. This offering is no exception. Deep brite ruby. Aromatic nose loaded with red fruits, flowers, spice and a tad of saddle leather. Smooth entry, solid center and a long 4+lapper finish. Still has enough soft tannins to improve another 2-4 and will hold another 10-15. What Napa cabs are supposed to morph into. 92/94. 26 by the box. 14.5% alc.

I once went to visit the winery...took me a whole day just to find the place. It is well off 29 and up in the hills. The only market was a bunch of mailboxes that all the locals seem to know (but none of the mailboxes had the wineries name on them...) I like their stuff and their owner and sons seem to be great people!

Donn and his lovely mate are wonderful people who give a lot back to their community. She's a wonderful cook who's written many cook-books that emphasise local fresh ingredients along with the appropriate juice to enjoy them with. If you think it's tough to find now, you should have tried it in the late 70s' when noone hardley lived on or even knew where Pritchard Hill be. WW
