Medium Ruby. Shy nose at first. After 35-40 minutes in the glass brite red fruit, cassis, sweet spices, and vanilla hit the nose. First sip showed all the above with a touch of sour cherry(not offensive) and this was replaced by high red cherries as time went on. Solid entry with a weighty center and a long 4+-lapper finish. Obviosly cut from the same cloth as the 2000 but a much higher thread count. Needs andother 1-3 to resolve the fine-grained tannins. Super bottle. 91/91 33 by the box.14.4% alc. WW

Thanks WW. I will wait a couple before opening what I have.

Opened another yesterday for my guests from next door. The nose is improving along with a nicely developing texture on the palate. No change in scoring. WW

Pulled this up. Will revisit this sucker this week-end. WW

Opened another before leaving for lunch today and can't find the problems you did GAD. Is there any chance the primary storage before you purchased the wine was faulty? This IMHO is still an outstanding bottle. WW
