- winoweenie - 06-11-2008 The last of my searching for a daily drinker (DD). Ordering a few boxes of the Edge today. This is a nice wine and solidly made but no match for the Edge at just a few bucks more. Was hoping 'twould be close to the marvelous 03 but fell short in complexity and finish. Still a solid 86-90. 17 by the box. 14.4 % alc. WW - Drew - 08-27-2008 Picked one up yesterday and popped it today and I thought it was very, very, good. Shy nose up front but nice currant, black fruit, dark chocolate and a long finish. Took about 1 hour to open but a really nice California Cab for $17...and I think if you look around you can get it for $15 and maybe less case discount. I liked it and am getting more. I don't know if it's lesser than the '03. Nice wine. Drew - Drew - 08-28-2008 Verne, try another bottle, I just had a little taste of what was left overnight and it put on considerable weight with concentrated flavors. I think I can snag a case for about $15 per and at that price this is a very good QPR. DRew - winoweenie - 08-28-2008 Okie-Dokie. Going to the club tomorrow for lunch instead of today and will see iffin' they have that hummer. WW - Glass_A_Day - 08-31-2008 Agree with Drew Verne. The 06 was pretty darn good last weekend for us. Have you revisited? |
