My local wine shop has a case of theis wine for $29.95. Do you think this is a good bottle to purchase and if so how long should it rest.

- Drew - 01-11-2004

I think this is a very good wine but the price seems a tad high. Case price should hover near $20 per bottle.

Thanks Drew, will see if we can get a better price.

Drew hit it rite on. That's 50% too high. A really superior bottling along with the Stefani and Frei.WW

WW & drew,

don't know if you guys have noticed, but they pretty much raised the price of this bottling across the board for 99, and i'd bet the frei and stefani also went up. i had a feeling this was coming when i saw my regular shop jack up the price of the '97 frei from $20 to $25 (thought the barrelli and stefani stayed at $20). in fact, the shop passed on all three for 99 cause they said the prices were too high (said they woulda had to sell the barrelli at $27).

all that said, $30 a bottle *is* too darn high, especially by the case.

Just ordered a box of the 3 and even paying our local wholesale-jackers it came out to 22 per snort.WW

'Round here it can be found for $23/btl. 10% on a case so it'd come out to a bit under $21.
