Hadn't tried one of these buggers since the ill-fated bottle from the 92 tasting. Clear vibrant ruby. Aromatics assail the room. Flowers (violets, roses ), deep red fruits, spices, and a sweet vanilla underpinning from the American oak that's nicely integrated. Great entry, a weighty center, and a 4&3/4-lapper finish. A real knockout of a drink. Still has a few unresolved tannins. Should peak next year and hold another 10 after.
