The St. Helena Rotary Club's 2004, themed
"Chicago", will take place Saturday, February 21, from 5:30 pm to 12 midnight. Cool blues, hot big band tunes and a casino will bring "Chicago" to the heart of Napa Valley. The Winter Ball will be held at the
Sutter Home Main Street Warehouse, 100 South
St. Helena Highway, thanks to the generosity
of Bob Trinchero and Trinchero Family Estates.
With funding largely coming from the Club's signature event, the Winter Ball, St. Helena
Rotary has a long history of sponsoring a
variety of community groups and activities,
especially those benefiting youth. Chartered in 1926, the Club has generated more than $1.4 million in proceeds in the 13-year history of the event.
In addition to fine dining and dancing, the
Winter Ball will feature silent and live auctions highlighting local auctioneer, Fritz
Hatton, and the outstanding wines of Napa Valley. Past auctions have featured collectible lots from such prominent wineries as Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle,
Harlan Estate, Grace Family Vineyards and
Abreu.
Tickets are priced at $150 per person or $2,500 for a Sponsor's Table for 10. In keeping with this years theme, dress will be
"Roaring Twenties" or formal attire.
