The parents guild of the St. Helena Montessori School is proud to present Festa Primavera 2005.

The St. Helena Montessori School is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization serving families who live and work in the Napa Valley. In a loving, nurturing and secure environment, we offer an A.M.I. accredited Catholic Montessori School with a strong academic curriculum for primary and elementary students developing essential learning skills by encouraging a child's natural curiosity and love of knowledge. Our annual wine auction, Festa Primavera, celebrates over 24 years of providing a quality educational and religious program while pursuing academic excellence and modeling honesty, respect and service.

Festa Primavera (www.festanapavalley.org), to be held on April 16th, 2005, at The Culinary Institute of America (www.ciachef.edu/visitor/gsenjoy.html) in the heart of the Napa Valley (www.napavalley.com), is one of the finest wine auctions in the Napa Valley, offering a collector's dream of hard-to-find wines, coveted large format bottles, sought-after verticals, as well as rare vintages-many signed by the winemakers and ready to add to your cellar.

A highlight this year, one lucky bidder will win the opportunity to acquire a barrel of wine made just for them by renowned Napa Valley vintner Mark Aubert with grapes from David Abreu's Cappella Vineyard!

Mark Aubert has quite the extensive resume: Rutherford Hills (www.rutherfordhill.com), MontiCello Cellars (corleyfamilynapavalley.com), Peter Michael Winery (www.petermichaelwinery.com), Colgin Cellars (www.colgincellars.com), and since 2000, proprietor of his own label (www.aubertwines.com). In the fifteen years he has been creating wine, he has produced more than his share of blockbusters to the accolades of Robert Parker (www.erobertparker.com), Stephen Tanzer (www.wineaccess.com/expert/tanzer/home.html) and the rest.

David Abreu is the vineyard manager for many of the Napa Valley’s finest properties and the man who deserves much of the credit for the quality of fruit now available in the Napa Valley. David’s Abreu Vineyards is a cult St. Helena (www.sthelena.com) winery with vineyards whose grapes go to such top Napa names as Harlan Estate (www.harlanestate.com/home.html).

Given the backgrounds of these two gentlemen, it is not difficult to imagine that their wines are sold only through mailing lists and utterly unavailable as they are immediately on allocation when released. We are extremely pleased that they have offered to combine their talents for us this year to produce a one-of-a-kind barrel lot. David Abreu has generously donated grapes from his prized Cappella Vineyard in St. Helena to produce, utilizing the winemaking skills of Mark Aubert, one barrel of 2005 Cappella from a choice of Bordeaux varietals (www.winecommune.com/lot.cfm/lotID/832562.html).

However, that is not the only fabulous lot available. This year, for the first time, we are delighted to have partnered with WineCommune.com (www.winecommune.com) to “pre-release” all the live and silent wine auction lots (www.winecommune.com/help/sthms.cfm) prior to the live event on April 16th, 2005.

Will you be in the Napa Valley on April 16th? Join us!! (www.festanapavalley.org).
