1997 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon - TheEngineer - 08-14-2015

It's always a privilege to be able to open a bottle at its absolute peak. and man if this was not the peak then I don't need it. This was entirely satisfying.

Classy and well structured yet the primary memory of this was the smooth texture of this wine. Cassis, leather, herbiness, bits of minerality, this is a great and interesting wine that looks to have some life ahead of it yet. Superb!

Ric has been one of the top winemakers in Napa Valley since Hector was a pup.I was fortunate enough to have acquired 2 cases of this and have fond memories being able to watch that beauty grow.Well done my friend. WW
