Sweet Wines for Dessert Cabaret Event - Jackie - 03-25-2015

Hi Friends,

I am president of a community theater and we are hosting this Saturday a fundraiser called "Cabaret & Desserts". Will be a fun event with a MJ impersonator and much more.

Desserts of all descriptions will be offered. Everything from fruit tarts to rum cake to chocolate truffles to white chocolate macademia nut cookies....

We are pouring free still and sparkling wines, which will be sourced primarily from our local Trader Joe's! It's a fun-d-raiser, so we prefer not to spend our proceeds on expensive wines. Of course, they must be good wines and pair with our desserts.

Can you give me suggestions? I'm thinking prosecco, moscato, port... trying to keep on the lower end of the price scale here.

Your ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jackie

Hop Kiln Winery Late Harvest Zinfandel or same wine from another winery.

I like the musadet and Moscato idea and there is also Semillion that I would suggest. But I would not suggest port. Messy, stick and not everyone like that level of flavor density.
