2006 chateau hautville - TheEngineer - 03-06-2015

Here is a cheap and cheery that did not break the bank. At $20ish a pop, it give some insight into slightly aged bordeauxs that are meant to be drunk sooner rather than later and this one was great at at that.

Ripe fruit up front, but with enough complexity (as in oak, minerality, some earthiness, candied fruits, smooth texture and resolved tannins. This is one of those Bordeauxs that go great with lunch sandwiches! Bought a six pack on the stop and it won't last.

Popped second bottle. Exactly the same! Nice to have mature bottles straight from cellar sometimes to know that the bottles will be just fine.
