2012 Anthill Farms Demuth Anderson Valley Pinot Noir - TheEngineer - 12-12-2014

I don't get this. So many people love this winery and I even went to the release party and tried so many of their wines through various vintages, but this wine is not for me. It's flavor profile is nothing I'm use to and it tastes candied to me.

Not that I am looking for burgundy all the time, I love trying new stuff, but this thing tastes like a softdrink versison of Burgundy. Nice texture to be sure cranberry, stemmy, but distinct flavors versus a nicely integrated whole.

Better tasters than I am love this wine so it must be good, but it's just not a good fit for my palate.
