2011 Darious napa Cabernet Sauvignon - TheEngineer - 10-20-2014
I must admit that I've not been a fan of this winery for a long time. l liked it somewhat when it first came out but my palate has not agreed with this winery for the better part of a decade. And now this.
I was a bit surprised. I'm still not a fan of the style but the cooler climate season seemed to have been good for them. This wine is well extracted and it carries with it good smooth tannins and a good scidic backbone. I'm not a fan of the oak regiment but the wines seems to handle it for now. It's style not my style, especially the spices that appear to be in the wine but for the first time in a long time for me, this is a good solid glass that I would drink, just perhaps not much more than that. I'm guessing that it is mostly a personal thing.

I'm definitely not worthy of that! I will try to uphold the tradition but WW, IK, KC, Drewski, Thomas, and many many others, boy those are big shoes to fill.
