'08 Tobin James Cabernet Franc - Innkeeper - 12-25-2013

2008 Tobin James, James Gang Reserve, Cabernet Franc with roasted goose with goose gravy, mashed potato stuffing, braised red cabbage, green beans almandine, and Christmas cookies.

Fantastic wine, full of fruit and smooth as a baby's you know what. Went perfectly with the meal, and had a finish that went on and on.

Popped the '09 tonight and it is just as lovely as ever. Matched it with grilled loin lamb chops, eggplant salad, and sliced tomatoes. Yum!

2010 Tobin James, James Gang Reserve, Paso Robles, Cabernet Franc. An absolutely delicious wine with fairly low alcohol for TJ (14.2%). We drank it over two nights with charcoal grilled marinated steak the first, and charcoal grilled loin lamb chops the second. Matched great with both.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2011 on Christmas with the same dinner on the initial post; goose, etc. We had eight here for dinner and three of us killed the bottle. Yum!
