1992 Quilceda Creek CS - TheEngineer - 04-26-2013

Let me start by thanking the man that opened all these for me that night. I love vertical tastings and this one was outstanding!

One of my favs of the night (in fact my fav in that it was showing for me the best but the 97 really rocked). This one had the most complexity of the night. Clearly different than the other bottles, I learned that this was the last year they used American Oak. Many I love this wine in American Oak. Then again, I am fond of a bit of greenness and veggies.... This is still a large wine, time has only tempered it. Full of cassis, but clearly more than just fruit. forest, anise, herby, loved it.
