2009 Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Haut Lieu Sec - TheEngineer - 03-28-2013
I've always loved the wines from Huet. It remains to be seen whether I will like the ones that the new winemaker will put together but trust that Hwang knows what he is doing.
This is a pretty wine, in brand new glasses that I had just bought, it sparkles, light gold in colour, nose is still rather fresh with the acidity jsut peaking its head up. Palate of baked apples, pears, very good density of flavors and a decent zip. Just a hint of flabbiness to me, coming across as a lack of focus in the end but still a nice drink.

Seems to be settling in for the long haul. A bit more muted than I last remember but only little. Perhaps bottle variation instead and it really was in the acidity where it was a bit muted.
