High West Double Rye - Kcwhippet - 03-14-2013

As the name suggests, this is a blend of two ryes. One is a 2 yo w/ 95% rye and 5% barley. The other is a 16 yo w/53% rye and 37% corn. This is close to the perfect marriage!!! Lots of rye spiciness with clove, cinnamon and chocolate notes. For some reason, I also get some gin notes - like a bit of juniper, though I doubt there is any in here. Mike, you have to try this.
