A family member of mine was given an old port and was wondering if it was worth anything. Here is the info on it:
Leo DE Valerie &c
Importers Bordeaux Hollywood
produce of Portugal
ruby port
produced 1929. bottled in France April 1934 19% alcohol
Any input is appreciated.

Hi Gharabed and welcome to the board. I don`t believe Ruby Ports of any shipper would be drinkable after 70 years. Most Vintage ports are structured to last and the oldest and best I`ve experienced was only 60 years old at the time.Doubt sincerely if this bottle has any value other than the curiosity quotient. One way to find out is to open that baby up and see if she lives. winoweenie

Just looking for some clarification - I was under the impression that Ruby Ports were not designed to age, and that all vintage ports were Tawny Ports - If this is true than the Port in question would not be drinkable - please advise.
