This thing was bought almost 6 years ago so I was expecting some advancement. Cork was solid, and this wine was so very very very fresh still, green apples, some biscuit, tight wonderfully focused, structured no indication of the age at all. Bubbles were vibrant, Disappeared in no time flat.

For those of you who remember a few years ago, I was on a one bottle of champagne a day diet. In those days, Lanson was my bottle of choice because that was what the hotel served and I did not really argue, lovely bottle that it was. But's its been a while since those days, (i miss it...) so I opened one of my last bottles from this purchase, what, 7 years on....and this thing is exactly as it was in April last year. No movement, still as vervy as every. I love this bottling and wished I had bought more if it when it was released at the then very approachable price for daily consumption. I can't believe how fresh this bottle is. It is everything that is right about a value bottle of champagne.

After all these years, Blanc de Blanc has become my fave expression of sparklers.
