13% alcohol. Purchased from Burgundy Wine Company. Depending on how the light catches the glass, purple-red, brownish-red or mahagony color. Slightly feminine and elegant on both the nose and palate. Some of the 2004 red Burgundies have been plagued with "green" off odors and tastes and I had two bottles of this one so thought I would check one out. I didn't find the "green meanies" in this wine but it's also not delivering a lot of complexity or depth or impact. It may be in a closed-down phase. Mildly disappointing after the stellar 2001 Les Saint Georges in January. I will wait at least another year before trying the remaining bottle of 2004.

I've had the same issues with the 04's. Someone told me that it was more the sheer number of lady bugs that were in the vineyards...some endingup in the crush..... Well at least you will know the vintage when you taste it.
