I was in Havre de Grace, Maryland today, Northeast Maryland Chesapeake Bay Watershed area. Returning west on Rt. 40 I stopped in a "truck stop" liquor store to look around. Found 6 bottles of '98 Pirramimma Shiraz for $17.80 ea...nice truck stop.

They told me that they purchase 2 cases of the Pirramimma petit verdot every year...1 for the store and 1 for a customer. The shiraz is a part of the purchase allocation. I'll tell you that it's amazing what I've found in these small stores just outside larger metro areas. Here's a wine with about 800 cases produced for worldwide distribution and 1 case finds it's way at "Mom and Pops" close by...amazing.
