- dharris - 11-13-2003 I have acquired a bottle of Kressmann Sauternes 1934 Bordeaux and was wondering how to find the value of it or what the value of it is. - winoweenie - 11-14-2003 Het there dh ole okie. Lived at 205 NW 30th for 2 years while attending the U of Okla in the late 40s. Kressman is a new one on me. Did some quick research and didn't turn up a mention of this vinryard even back to rhe 1890s' so this must have been a negoitiant bottling. Your best bet is to contact one of the international auction houses. Good luck and visit ofter. Bucko and me be the only Oakies I know of on the board and we get picked on unmercifully. WW - Lovinda Wynes II - 11-14-2003 Oh Honey, that bottle sounds absolutely Marvelous! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it! If I were you, I would run a bath and pop that baby open. Just savor it! If you decide not to, I am sure you have a friend in Ohio who would be more than happy to savor it for you. - Kcwhippet - 11-14-2003 No luck on the wine, but here's a mention of the Kressman family, which has been involved in the Bordeaux wine trade for a few generations. www.fostertravel.com/FRBORD.html - Auburnwine - 11-14-2003 It's a very old name in the sale of Bordeaux and you will find it affiliated with some of the premier wines of the region. Kressmanns own or manage Château Latour-Martillac and Château Lespault and a number of other Châteaux. There are several companies involved now: http://www.kressmann.com/ http://www.domaines-kressmann.com/ [This message has been edited by Auburnwine (edited 11-14-2003).] - winoweenie - 11-14-2003 As mentioned above " Probably a negotient bottling ".
