Hello All!

Having a marvelous time reading all the postings, questions etc... Anyhow, a little disappointed to see barely any canadians at all on this website. Are you out there? If so, lets talk BC wine. I live in Kelowna and lets face it, our wine selection in this area is pretty fantastic!

Hi Stevie, and welcome to the Wine Board. We have some Canadian members on the board. There is no place where comments are concentrated, but there is a little on the Northwest thread. You have to go back some. Also check out our search function.

Although we have an international audiance, most of the folks who post here are Americans. For a variety of reasons, very little Canadian Wine gets south of your border. One winery, Mission Hlll, seems to be making inroads. We have it here in Maine, and we have posted on it.

We also travel to Canada regularly, and have enjoyed and posted on your wines.

Here I am!!.....while not born there, I spent the majority of my life in Toronto and bits as well in Vancouver. Because of my job, I've travelled from the very tips of Queens Charlotte Island through to Kamploops, Kelona, Cranbrook, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Lake Dease, Masset, Pendicton,...........you get the point. As such, I always enjoy trips into the Okanagan! The scenary is spectacular! I've also had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the Niagara peninsula which produces some great wines!

There are also many BC posters on this board as well. Also, many of the Canadian wines are under the Varietal headings, so check those (such as Chardonnay) and open the listing to at least 100 days.

BTW, I've also lived in New York, Detroit, LA, Boston,........

Welcome to the group!

Thanks everyone! I do understand that not much of our wine travels down to our american neighbours, its a pity since I believe its some of the best wine there is. Mission Hill's pinot blanc is one of my favorite whites and can you believe I only live five minutes from the rolling hills of its winery? Lovely!

Steve,

If you do a search on this site for Mission Hill, you will come up with some. Just for kicks, I've included a few here.
