I was given a bottle of 1978 Les Forts DE La Tour Pavillac wine and want to know if the bottle is worth anything and if i should drink it or save it...

Thanks Scott

Hi Scott and welcome to the board. This is the 2nd wine of the magnificient 1st growth Ch. Latour.(I'm guessing you made a weener tipin error in the name). Time to pop the cork on that baby. The big daddy has peaked so I'm sure the junior should be drunk. Single bottles of old wine are extremely hard to sell as you can't verify the dtorage. Invite your special someone over and maybe you'll get lucky.( The wine will be good Buck-snort you lecher). Good luck. WW

I tried this wine two years ago -- B-/C+ at best and needed drinking. It is going nowhere but down. Drink up.

Which Pinot Noir? Roberto Cohen bottles at least 40 wines, and about half are Pinot Noir. All of his wines are kosher, and regardless of the winemaker, vineyard, vintage, or whatever, I've yet to find a kosher wine that I really like. The closest, so far, is a Shiraz from Teal Lake.

Teal Lake is good choice too, from Kosher section I would also recommend Gamla Cab. Sa. year 2000 or Dalton
