- Duane Meissner - 11-30-2001 So I decided to step into the world of Beaujolais. Just bought two bottles. Here's what I have... 2000 Beaujolais-Villages; Louis Jadot; Appellation Controlee. $8.99 and... 2000 Moulin-A-Vent; Georges Duboeuf; Comte de Sparre. $11.99 Now a few questions... 1. Were these good selections? 2. Are they ready to drink? 3. Quaffable? or will I be wasting good wine if I don't drink these with an appropriate meal? Anything else I should know? A quick response would be great... I'm ready to pop these suckers! Thanks for the help! DM - Innkeeper - 11-30-2001 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. They will go with almost anything any red wine would go with. The Moulin-a-Vent would call for a somewhat more heavier meal than the Villages. |
