Jackie, I, too, like the new look and action on the board. And while I know you said it will take time to get the yellow lights worked out, just thought you should know that mine are going nuts on me. Cannot figure out their pattern--sometimes they work fine, sometimes they appear on every forum, whether or not there has been postings.

Also, the blue colored headlines faded when I clicked on a forum, which is nice because it reminded me I have clicked on that one, but then the blue never came back after I signed off and signed back on.

None of my active folders turn pink either. I'm sure it is a temporary glitch.

I have everything set now to the IP address. It takes up to 72 hours for Internet systems around the world to switch our domain name to the new server address. That means that some folks may still be accessing the old site and are being redirected here by the old software. After 72 hours, I can safely change that. Then I hope that the lightbulbs and folders will start to make sense again. It may take a few visits to straighten things out. Don't expect perfection until then.....

The fading blue is another story. I need to think about that one. I set it up so that the link --- once clicked on -- would change color. But I didn't think about the fact that the link will STAY that color as long as the browser is set to remember it. The setting can vary from person to person... The blue faded color could stay several days. That is not helpful, since the faded blue does not take into account any new postings to that forum. (Theoretically all your links could go faded blue.) I will probably have to change this. I'll do it at night, so it does not disrupt the board....

Thank you for bringing this up. I hadn't realized.

Jackie

Jackie,

Here's an odd thing that I have just come across. I was reading a thread in one of the categories, posted, and then clicked "Wine Board" as depicted in the hierarchy (tree) shown at the top of the screen. When the main page appeared, all of the light bulbs had completely disappeared! All that was left in their place was a very thin, empty box.

In any case, in spite of the glitches, things here are working better and faster than before.
