I tried two Chardonnays and two Pinot Noirs at this tasting. Dan Carlson is the winemaker.
2008 Logan Chardonnay $22.50 retail
Fruity, with touches of oak. Nicely crisp. Some apple, some vanillin.

2008 Talbott Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay
Barrel-aged 12 mos. in French oak, 30% new. Handpicked select grapes from Sleepy Hollow Estate. Almond note, chewy, faint white peach, rich.

2008 Kali Hart Pinot Noir
Blend of Martini, Dijon and Pommard clones. Aged in French oak, 20% new. Deep rose color with some transparency. Somewhat floral nose also exhibiting raspberry. Spicy finish. (Tasting room notes say spicy cinnamon.)

2008 Talbott Sleepy Hollow Pinot Noir
Blend of primarily old-vine, 35-year Martini clone Pinot Noir grapes. Barrel-aged 12 mos. in French oak, 30% new. Again transparency, more garnet or ruby in color than the Kali Hart Pinot. Smooth, cherry-flavored silky wine. I purchased one bottle.

Well you hit two of our favorite spots in the Valley. Have tasted and bought all of those wines in the past. Don't rememer the Chard being very oaky.
