Looks like more folks are using this package these days. After losing two databases with a hard drive crash a while back, I don't have a db that can be imported easily to set that thing up.... only a WP file, and notes on this board. Not looking forward to investing the time needed to input the stash into yet another db but maybe it's time.

Any thoughts to share on CT?

Shouldn't take to long to move your wp to excel. From there you should be able to do it.

CellarTracker is a snap. Most wines are already listed, so you only need to add your amount of the wine. I inventoried my wine and put it all on CellarTraker over a two-day period. There are various levels of security, a huge database, etc., etc.

It is a very powerful and friendly program that I cannot praise enough.

The big plus for me would be to remote-host the database, so it's not dependent on the health of the PC.

Guess I need to get on with it. Thanks.

Gil, there are 8G flash drives available for less than $99 that you could back up your hard drive with. Minimal expense and more than enough storage space.

Here's one of many for example

Thanks, Drew. I didn't realize such animals were available.

Decided to go ahead and download CT....spent the afternoon entering about half the stash.

Agree it's a piece of cake if the wine you want to enter is already in the db, but it's not so peachy for a "new" one. Interesting (eyeballs are now thoroughly crossed.....)
