I'm interested in finding out the value of a 100 yr old bottle of Tokay wine from Hungary. Anyone have any idea how I can do this???

Try an auction house for a quote. There seems to be some rising interest in the wines again since of all the capital going into the region. I've also heard Hungarians say the stuff pre war was very dif from what we had after that, Communists or not.Obviously the auction folks are going to want strong provenance records on something that old.

There is some auction market for your wine, assuming it is Essencia (if it's anything else you have a curiosity with more value to bottle collectors than to wine collectors.

The book Wine Price File should have some Tokay Essencia listed.
