- TheEngineer - 10-03-2009 Had this with some steak tips, nice combo. Nose is ripe cherry. This wine is smooth and ripe, dense but nicely structured. Had two glasses before I knew it. Lovely. - Innkeeper - 10-03-2009 Sounds great. We're holding it for next year. Enjoyed the '04 last month. - Thomas - 10-03-2009 I understand that this variety in California is not the same Refosco from Italy. What's the acidity like in the Ca version? - TheEngineer - 10-04-2009 Foodie, While reasonably structured for a CA wine, it does not have the acidity backbone of say an italian barbera or Dochetto. I've not had (or don't recall having) an italian Rofusco There is a lot of ripeness in this wine. |
