Wilson Vineyards, Clarksburg.

Deep reddish-purple in color, with a juicy nose of cherries, berries, and grape jam. Very sweet red and black fruit flavors, somewhat jammy, with far less tannins than I had expected from a young PS. Minimal oak, as old French barrels are used. Nice quaffer for near-term drinking -- nothing complicated here. Alc. 14%. Ran about $10 locally.

Clarksburg where?

Near Sacramento. The appellation was created in the 80s, I think.
