Susana Balbo 1999 Malbec, Mendoza

Deep purple color, rich nose of dark fruit and smoke. Dense plum and raspberry fruitin a velvety smooth and well balanced package.

Although I've enjoyed many malbecs from Argentina, this was really the first higher end example I've had, and I was impressed. At $23, this put the other bottle we had at dinner to shame (a $60 CA cab). Anyone have any recommendations for other fine malbecs?

"...Anyone have any recommendations for other fine malbecs?..."

yes... but due to the rules of the forum... you'll have to email me to find out.

A family connection has led to the opportunity to bring into the US, among others, some malbecs from Argentina.

Since this has the "ITB" Commercial aspect, drop me a line and let me know where you'd like to buy it (locally in your area) i'll share with you what we've got.

I like Santa Julia Malbec, Mendoza. Should be about 12 or 13 semolians--smoky and meaty.

Rules, my dear guys--there is a place for advertising. Haka--you is ok!
