I recently inherited some wine from my grandfather. I have tried to learn about the wine but can find nothing. I know 76 is a good austrian vintage, but that is about it. Can anybody give me any info about this wine or it's value if it has any.

I think the Vineyard was Herman Ohlenschlager Oppenheim am Rhein. It is a

Thanks oder Danke (whichever is more appropriate)

Hi UTLaw and welcome to the board. Not familiar with the producer but can't imagine ANY producer not making an excellent wine in the great 76 vintage. Not being a great dessert wine drinker I've exhausted my 76s but still have a few 83 Eisweins. As far as value, single bottles, unless they're a rare Bordeaux, are not very collectable. My advice as usual is to get eoither your significaant other or a friend or so and pop the cork on that sucker.WW
