1998 Col Solare, Red Table Wine, Columbia Valley, Washington, $70. Col Solare is a joint winemaking effort with Piero Antinori of Italian fame. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with a bit of Merlot and Syrah thrown in. Rich red cherry, plum, and cedar aromas lead to a very polished, rich, fruity wine. Creamy on the palate, the tannins are substantial but rounded. 91/88.
