- TheEngineer - 06-30-2005 This wine is 77% PN, 12% Syrah adn 11% Zin. Garnet in color, a nose predominantly of PN and Syrah (some gameyness). Zin did not show through bit I think added a bit of background roundedness. Tasted more like a PN with light berries and good tannins that were just a bit on the rough side for me. The syrah came in at the end with a bit of gameyness but the Zin did not play a major roll. Medium length finish. Interesting at $28 which is the list price. More palateable at $15-$20. - winoweenie - 07-07-2005 Big-E you posted this under a strange thread. This is regarded as a Pinot with its' 77%, plus Jack Cakebread loves his Napa Valley property and wouldn't move within 673 miles of Bucko if he was paid bundles.
