Wine was found at a store in New Jersey as nearly the only NY finger lake avalable, (and the only bottle). somewhere near $18 alc 11.5
Pale gold in the glass with nose a bit weak, pear with a touch of lemony citrus. Taste a lot of ripe apple up front, red macintosh (not granny smith), in the middle seemed a bit woodsy although I don't know if there is any oak involved. The finish leaned back toward the citrus. Seemed to have well balanced acidity for the fruit, with no pucker factor. Had with baked ham, roasted red potatoes and fresh garden salad.

Overall a bit thin, barely making a full lap!(now I understand "SW") with the apple being the dominate taste. Need to find some other FL riesling for a comparison. WP

Hermann Weimer's Riesling is usually pretty good and : (quoting Ed Draves on another wine forum) Chateau Lafayette Reneau on Seneca Lake 2006 Riesling just took a double gold as well as Best International White Wine at Riverside. Finger Lakes score another!

I don't know how the 2005 vintage was generally regarded in the Finger Lakes. Sorry the Konstantin Frank was disappointing for you.
