- Kcwhippet - 06-17-2008 Had this tonight with a very spicy shrimp dish (Judy's out of town). It went extremely well. Very tasty wine!! - Innkeeper - 01-14-2009 We popped the last of our Glenora ’06 Rieslings tonight. It has matured even more since the previous one. It now possessed almost almondy overtones on the palate. The finish lingered longer too. We matched it with roast boneless loin of pork with garlic, rosemary, EVOO pressed into it; along with roasted fingerling Yukon Golds, and nuked zucchini & onions. That’s my idea of a nice Tuesday night. - glenora - 01-19-2009 KC & IK Glad to see that you are still, or were, enjoying the '06. There is still some in the library--if you ever, or anyone else for that matter, are in the area we can pull some corks. Gene - Kcwhippet - 01-19-2009 You can definitely count on Judy and I showing up on your doorstep sometime this spring, Gene. BTW, 2006 must have been a pretty good year because we've had two other Glenora wines from that vintage in the past few months - the Norbud Farm Riesling and the Gewurtz - and both were really wonderful. - Innkeeper - 01-19-2009 We should be there in May! - Kcwhippet - 01-20-2009 Hmmm, maybe we can coordinate this. - Thomas - 01-20-2009 This spring is the Glenora Inn's 10th anniversary. A party? - Kcwhippet - 01-20-2009 This could work. Think maybe the Weener might join us again?? |
