- hotwine - 06-23-2006 Classic Sancerre.... very pale gold in the glass, with a slight greenish tinge; melons and gooseberries on the palate, all very austere. No greassiness or cat's pee to this dude. Wish I could make an SB like this! Modest finish, but I don't look for a bellringer ending on such a wine. 12.5% alc/vol and about $14 at Costco. With grilled Tilapia and avocado tostados. Wonderful. - Innkeeper - 06-23-2006 Sounds like great wine and great food. - wondersofwine - 06-26-2006 We're having a heat wave and I intened to open some Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre and/or Marlborough over the next three weeks. |
