This is a PRETTY wine. Just perfect for me. Solid dense golden colour with a very citrusy nose, floral, minerally, Great texture, rather round but still light given the density of the flavors. Wonderful balance of acidity and sweetness, taste of pomelo rinds, pineapple, quite the fruit salad.. , dense, full, minerally, wow.

I bought three.....I'm gonna have to go back but at $47 per, maybe I should try a bottle fo the Quarte Des Charmes first.

I first tried this wine (possibly a different vintage) at a restaurant in Raleigh and was quite impressed. Coincidentally, I almost bought a bottle at The Wine Merchant in Raleigh yesterday but left with a Rosso di Montalcino instead (less expensive.) May go back for the Sainte Catherine this Saturday since I am dining at Enoteca Vin that night (they are having a special selection of high end Pinot Noirs by 3 oz. or 5 oz. pours through Saturday.) I am also dining at Enoteca Vin next Wednesday so that will be twice within five days.

Damn...I opened another one of these tonight to share. I'm gonna have to hide the remaining bottles on me to see if they can make it for a few more years.

Same notes, just lovely.
