too many visits to the house from BRW. He came by yesterday to confer wif' CB on some biz adn since we were both on sabbatticals it naturally degenerated into what shoud I open. Decided on a couple of 97...The Dehlinger Cab and the Penfolds Grange. I opened them before BRW gort there and then found out he had to work the rest of the afternoon. The Dehlinger came out of the chute like a thorobred at Churchill Downs. Gorgeous aramatics, brite ruby and all hit the palate running. The Grange was more like the closer. At first out of the gate extremely closed and on the backstretch started to show its' power and stride. By the time it hit the stretch the breeding of this sucker would have even been evident to
even Buck-Snort. Black fruits, smoke, minerals, spices and huge mouthfeel and finish. Have over half the bottle under PR and will finish it by meself today. Both beautiful bottles. WW

While I'm not a big Grange fan, I've had a few that blew me away, to include the 86 and 89.
